David Davenport is a graduate of Iowa State University with a major in Industrial Administration and minors in Accounting and Finance. After graduation, David primarily managed real estate and received the CPM (Certified Property Management) designation in 1982. Dave was a member of the Sioux City Planning and Zoning Commission from 1981-1990. During this period, he made the transition from property management to commercial brokerage. On November 11, 1988, Dave was awarded the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. Recipients of this designation must endure strenuous academic classes as well as close a minimum of $3.5million in transactions. During his qualification period, Dave actually closed over $20million in real estate transactions. In 1997, he received the SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®) designation. To achieve this recognition, Dave had to exceed dollar/transaction volume and demonstrate to the Society his professional ability, competency, ethical conduct and personal integrity. In 2001, Dave purchased a CENTURY 21 ® franchise and grew his residential business dramatically. He now oversees 28 agents and operates a full service residential and commercial real estate agency.
